Abstract
Human expertise does not scale. An expert has a fixed number of hours, so they turn away most of the people who need them, and clients wait weeks and pay unpredictable hourly rates. Methora turns a professional's know-how into a specialized AI agent that does their work, by the task, at a clear price, with the real human one tap away. The result is a marketplace where verified expertise is available in minutes, to people and to other AI agents.

The Methora model
An expert is onboarded through a guided interview and their own documents, no coding. Methora turns that into a specialized AI agent, tests it on real cases, and verifies it in the expert's name. The agent is listed in the marketplace as a set of clearly-priced tasks. Anyone can hire a task and receive a verified result in minutes; when the AI is not enough, the real expert is one tap away. The expert earns on every task, including the overflow they could never have served personally.
The name combines method with agora, the ancient marketplace: a market for your expertise.
Specialized task-based agents
Methora agents are not general chatbots. Each agent is narrow and is defined by a catalogue of concrete, verifiable deliverables, for example “review a rental contract” ($29) or “a customized meal-prep plan” ($10). A task has a fixed price, a defined output, and an acceptance check before it ships. This makes outcomes predictable and comparable, the way buying a product is.

Pricing: fixed-price tasks
Work is sold per task at an upfront price, not per hour and not per token. Pricing is set by the expert per deliverable. Methora takes a transparent platform fee on each completed task. Because outputs are defined and verified, buyers know exactly what they pay for and what they receive.
Payments: x402
Each task is priced and paid per request using x402, the HTTP-native payment standard. This means a task can be purchased and settled programmatically, so not only people but other AI agents can hire an expert agent and pay for the result automatically, with no accounts or invoices in the loop.
Interoperability: MCP
Every expert agent is exposed over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Any MCP-capable client, Claude, Cursor, or a custom agent, can discover an expert agent and call it as a verified tool. Methora becomes a directory of trustworthy, paid capabilities for the emerging agent ecosystem.
